What does the no right turn sign mean in Turkey?
Last updated: 28 October 2026 · Sign code: TT-26a · Prohibitory and restrictive signs

In short: The no right turn sign means you may not turn right at this junction or place. It is a red-bordered white circle with a black arrow turning right, crossed by a red line.
What should you do when you see this sign?
- Do not turn right here; go straight or in an allowed direction.
- If you need to turn right, use the next suitable junction.
Where and why is it used?
A red-bordered circle with a line bans something; the same arrow in a blue circle makes that direction compulsory. The two are often compared in the exam.
Red-bordered white circle Ban or limit a manoeuvre. The rule starts where the sign stands. "No entry for …" signs without a red diagonal line still ban entry.
