What does the two-way traffic sign mean in Turkey?

In short: This warning sign means the one-way section ends and traffic will come from the opposite direction ahead. It is a red-bordered triangle with two black arrows, one pointing up and one down.

What should you do when you see this sign?

• Move to the right side of the road and stay in your lane.
• Check oncoming traffic carefully before overtaking.
• At night, switch to dipped headlights when a vehicle comes towards you.

Where and why is it used?

The sign is mostly used where a divided road or a one-way road ends and where roadworks send traffic into a single carriageway.

Red-bordered white triangle Warn you that there is a hazard ahead. When you see one, slow down and be ready for the danger. Warning signs are placed before the hazard.
